Dream of quitting your day job to open a cafe? I did. I left a career in banking and finance in Sydney, Australia, to pursue my cafe dream right here in Hanoi.
Except it wasn't all so dreamy.
I’m here to share the reality of that journey and help you avoid the many costly mistakes I made. From finding the right space to building a loyal customer base, my goal is to give your cafe a real chance to thrive.

My Story
My name is Nam, an Australian-born Vietnamese who traded a finance career in Sydney for the vibrant streets of Hanoi. After my father passed away from cancer, I moved to his homeland in 2018 with a dream to build a business that honored his memory.
From grand opening my first cafe, Drop In Cafe, in October 2019, I've navigated countless challenges—from the pandemic and lockdowns to the daily difficulties of running a business.
My cafe has stood the test of time and become a long-standing spot in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter.
My journey has been a lesson in extreme resilience, and now I want to share those real-world lessons with you so you can turn your dream into a successful reality.
